Nivea is a global brand of body care products that was established in Germany in the year 1882 by Carl Paul Beiersdorf and was owned by the namesake company of the founder. The company Beiersdorf was diversified further by Oskar Troplowitz who took over the reins of the company in 1890. A skin cream with ‘Eucerit’ was developed as a water-in-oil emulsion which formed the basis for all Nivea products.
